Sometimes, hip pain goes away on its own with the help of some pain-relief medicine, but in other cases, there might be a need for hip replacement surgery.

When is hip replacement surgery a need?

When the hip joints get damaged or wear out due to many reasons, your orthopaedic surgeon might suggest replacing your ball-and-socket joint with a prosthetic one.

So, signs that indicate the need for hip replacement surgery is given as follows:

Stiff hips

Symptoms like:

  • Experiencing stiffness while trying to walk
  • Painful sensation while bending and moving the waist
  • Facing extreme difficulty in lifting the leg
  • Lifting stuff from the floor seems daunting.

If you face all such problematic movements, your hip joint might be severely damaged in need of hip replacement surgery in gurgaon. Hip stiffness, inflammation and soreness might indicate the wear and tear of your hip joint that causes immense difficulty in carrying out everyday tasks, especially in the longer run. It is better to speak to your doctor for diagnosis and treatment.

Loss of movement

Alongside pain, there might be a loss in the range of motion in the hip as well. If movements aren’t as flexible as you want, or it is tighter than what they used to be, and you are finding daily activities like sitting in a chair for long, getting out of a chair, car or bath a challenge, you might need to consult your orthopaedic doctor sometime soon.

The ordinary treatment provides no relief

In primary stages or even in arthritis, your doctor will suggest non-surgical treatments like steroid and anti-inflammatory medicine to provide relief. If you reach a point when these cures are no more effective, surgery might act as the only permanent solution.

If you are facing all such symptoms, talking to your orthopaedic surgeon is crucial.
